Streamflow conditions in the province are generally normal to above normal at this time of year.
Changes over the past 24 hours, unless otherwise indicated.
Bow River at Banff: 44 cms (decreased from 45 cms)
Bow River at Calgary: 118 cms (increased from 102 cms)
Bow River below Carseland Dam: 105 cms (decreased from 115 cms)
- On Thursday July 27, the Bow River at Calgary decreased 60 cms, from 273 cms down to 213 cms.)
- On Friday August 03, the flow rate of the Bow River at Calgary came down to below 200 cms for the first time since early June!
- On Wednesday Aug 15, the flow rate of the Bow River at Calgary came down to below 150 cms for the first time since early June!
- On Monday Aug 20, the flow rate of the Bow River at Calgary came down to around 105 cms for the first time since early June!
Morning Cold Front = Cooler Week
An early morning cold front Wednesday brings and end to our hot spell. For the first time this season, Calgary has had back-to-back days of 30 degree weather! Temperatures will be up to a dozen degrees lower Wednesday, follong the frontal passage. Some showers may accompany the front as it moves through Calgary,but south of the city, it should remain dry.
