Streamflow conditions in the province are generally normal to above normal at this time of year.

Changes over the past 24 hours, unless otherwise indicated.

The Bow River at Banff is unchanged over the past 24 hours, and is at 95 cms.

The Bow River at Calgary has increased 8 cms over the past 24 hours, and is at 175 cms.

Bow River at Banff: 95 cms (unchanged from 95 cms)
Bow River at Cochrane: 195 cms (unchanged from 195 cms)

Bow River at Calgary: 175 cms (increase from 167 cms)
Bow River below Carseland Dam: 182 cms (increased from 174 cms)

- On Thursday July 27, the Bow River at Calgary decreased 60 cms, from 273 cms down to 213 cms.)

- On Friday August 03, the flow rate of the Bow River at Calgary came down to below 200 cms for the first time since early June!

Cooling trend

Sunshine returns to Calgary and southern Alberta Thursday. Temperatures in south central Alberta will peak in the mid twenties. Medicine Hat, Milk River, and perhaps Brooks and Lethbridge could reach 30 degrees. We're not expecting severe weather Thursday, or for the rest of the week. It will begin to cool down Friday, with some wet weather on the weekend in the form of rain or showers.
