Today along the Bow River - October 2012

This morning, the white stuff was up in the hills.  Tomorrow, it will be all around us.  At least for a day or two. See forecast below.  All photos, Copyright Bow River Shuttles All rights reserved 2012
This drift boater was heading down to the river a bit later than usual this morning.
While Tuesday started out with light rain and a chilly 2.0 °C, it eventually got all the way up to 16.0 °C with scattered clouds.

Wednesday Snow

A cold front draws colder air and snowy weather into southern Alberta Wednesday. The precipitation should start as rain for a brief time in the early morning, before turning to snow as the temperature drops. Calgary can expect 2-4 cm of snow, with lesser amounts to the north and east, and higher amounts in the foothills. After the front passes, warmer air will slowly return to the area. Any snow on the ground early Thursday will melt or evaporate during the day, as temperatures rise to 10 degrees. Even warmer weather can be expected on the weekend, as temperatures return to double digits
