Today along the Bow River - October 2012

Another beautiful day along the Bow brought out the walk & waders, the drift boaters and... the landscape artists. Scattered clouds and a high of 18.0 °C!

Lower Temperatures, Stronger Wind

An early morning cold front Tuesday means cooler and windier weather. When the front passes, the wind will shift to the Northwest, then swing back to the West. By afternoon, wind speed will be in the 50 km/h range, with gusts to 70. It will be about 7 or 8 degrees cooler Tuesday compared to Monday. The weather will remain very changeable through the week. We'll get a bit of snow Friday night, and much more snow Sunday to Wednesday. Totals through the period could reach 20-30 cm.
