Snowfall Warning

A snowfall warning covers most of southern Alberta, with snow expected over a period lasting at least 17 hours. Most of the snow, 20-25 cm, will fall in a line from Claresholm to Brooks. Similar amounts can be expected in southwestern Alberta, near Pincher Creek and Waterton Park. The storm will pull away Tuesday afternoon, taking its snow to Saskatchewan. After the snow stops, it will remain cooler than average through the rest of the week. The snow may start melting this weekend, and there is a chance it will disappear by Halloween.
