Today along the Bow River - September

The third day of a summer snow fall brought heavy wet snow, a brutal rush hour, broken trees, 30,000 homes and businesses without power at one point, scores of traffic lights out, and... several die hard fly fishers heading out for a snowy drift boat trip. :-) 

The boat launch at 22X/Fish Creek Park is closed. It will reopen on or before Sept 19. (note new date)

Yesterday, Calgary broke a record set back in 1921 for snowfall.

Today, they launched the drift boat and went fly fishing.

The boat launch at 22X/Fish Creek Park is closed. It will reopen on or before Sept 15.

Snow fell in the high country yesterday. And some fell in the front country, in particular south of Longview, in the Chain Lakes area.
