There was still snow clinging to the trees and bushes on river right in this photo. This party reported good water conditions today, as the cool temps had delayed the snow melt from upstream. They were happy with the number of fish to hand and to the boat.
The Bow River at Calgary flow rate was only 84 cms when this photo was taken in the early afternoon. The flow rate at 8:00 pm is 128 cms.
The boat launch at 22X/Fish Creek Park is closed. It will reopen on or before Sept 19. (note new date). And, it's probably best to stay clear of the McKinnon road for another day or two. Rain and traffic don't mix well on that switchback descent.
