Monday: Summer's last gasp!

Despite the cool-down, southwest areas of the province still made it to 20C this afternoon. Warmer air will flood across the mountains on Monday courtesy of a dry westerly wind, pushing our temperatures into the mid-20’s. Enjoy it while it’s here folks, because a rude and rapid change awaits Tuesday. A strong cold front will push through Calgary early in the A.M. Behind it, a blustery, chilly n.w. wind will develop. Showers could accompany the front, but of more significance is some wet snow Tuesday night as the chilly air deepens. Clearing should set in Wednesday. Gardeners note: the end is nigh, frosty mornings are expected Wednesday and Thursday.
