This lady and her partner each had a fly rod and a spin rod.  They appeared to be making a real effort to practice casting with their fly rods.

We all noticed the cool cloud formations as we headed for the Bow River boat launches this morning.

The red canoe stood out in the mostly green background.

Sun.: cooler

Temps. today ranged from a few degrees below 0 in the mtns. and foothills this morning, to the low 20’s in S.E. Alta. this aft. Env. Can. has issued a frost warning (not incl. Calgary) for Cent. Alta. for tonight. This is in the wake of a weak cold front that will be drifting s. through our area overnight, possibly accompanied by a few showers (mostly s. of the city). Clearing will set in tomorrow, but temps. will be cool, still nice for Marathon of Hope runners and walkers. Temps. will bounce back into the 20’s Mon., and the remainder of the week looks generally mild, dry, and windy.
