Today along the Bow River - September 2012

It was a very pleasant 16.0 °C when this photo was taken, mid-day Wednesday.  
It eventually got up to 24.0 °C.

Consistency!

The weather will remain remarkably consistent under a big upper ridge of high pressure. It means sunshine. It means dry weather. It means warmer than average. It is not yet showing any sign of breaking down. Fall will begin with summer weather Saturday morning.

Bow River at Banff:  steady 27 cms
Bow River at Calgary: fluctuating 64 cms - 71 cms
Bow River below Carseland Dam: fluctuating 44 cms – 49 cms

- On Wednesday Sept 05, the flow rate of the Bow River at Calgary came down to below 100 cms for the first time since mid-May.

- On Monday Sept 10, the flow rate of the Bow River at Calgary came down to below 70 cms for the first time since mid-April.
