Today along the Bow River - September 2012

Everyone's back at work or school today.  These fellows had much of the river to themselves.

After many years of being the only donkey with the horses, the white one finally has a companion.  Brown with white circles around its eyes and a white nose. Cute!

There was amazing hatch activity going on here at mid-day.
We'll post some pics tomorrow that show it.

Showers Wednesday

An upper trough and a surface High in BC will combine to generate an upslope flow in the Alberta foothills, generating periods of rain Wednesday. The heaviest rainfall will happen in the Kananaskis Valley, and in southwestern Alberta near Pincher Creek, Crowsnest Pass, Brocket, and Lethbridge. The rain will continue to move southeast, and by Thursday, sunshine returns and sticks around into the weekend. In addition to Wednesday's showers in Calgary, it may be blustery at times, with a gusty north wind.
