Warm Friday, Wet Weekend

An upper level low in the Pacific is pumping warm air from the south into Alberta. Temperatures reached 22 degrees in Calgary on Thursday, and will likely do the same Friday. The low will help spread unsettled weather into southern Alberta from Saturday until Tuesday. Temperatures will continue to peak in the high teens and low 20s. However, it will be much cooler aloft, and that will generate the instability necessary for thundestorms. Those storms may pop Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.
