According to Wikipedia: "A gaggle is a term of venery for a flock of geese that isn't in flight; in flight, the group can be called a skein. In terms of geese, a gaggle is equal to at least five geese."

So, it's official. Earlier this evening, we spotted this gaggle of Canada Geese along the Bow River.

Actually, they were on a small island, in a somewhat braided section of the river. The main Bow River channel is in the background. The side channel is in the foreground.

A Low pressure system exiting the province east of Calgary, will draw rain down from the northwest into the city Thursday night and Friday morning. Total rainfall could reach 20 mm in Calgary. Shortly after noon, the sky should begin to clear, and it will be dry but cool for the Stampeders' evening game.
