Rain. Too Much Rain.

Rainfall warnings were issued Friday for the foothills, and for the Airdrie, Olds, Carstairs region. Up to 100 mm of rain can be expected in the warning areas, which will cause trouble in already swollen rivers. The rain will be heaviest in the foothills near Rocky Mtn. House on Saturday, then it will wrap back toward Calgary early Sunday morning. As of Friday evening, up to 40 mm of rain was expected by Sunday morning in the Calgary area, which is below warning criteria. If the storm should change direction ever so slightly, Calgary could be in for even more rain. Watch for warnings throughout the weekend.
