Fly
fishers from all over Southern Alberta converged on the Cardel Theatre
on Friday evening Nov 08 for the multi-city, simultaneous World
premiere showing of Confluence Films’ new film, WAYPOINTS.
Fans of WAYPOINTS CALGARY ranged from around age 8, all the way up to ... well, we didn’t ask.:-)
It was one of the most successful events staged to date by Michelle Magotiaux, owner/operator of Bow River Shuttles, and the originator of ‘Back Cast Fly Fishing Film Festival’, the first, and longest running, film festival of its kind in Calgary.
Film night patrons came early, for Sticky Ricky’s food truck, and some stayed late, heading over to Original Joe's for an informal After Party.
All in all, an excellent evening in the city by the Bow River!
Net proceeds from this event to Canadian Youth National Fly Fishing Team via Fly Fishing Team Canada.
