A special note from Jim McLennan (McLennan Fly Fishing)

A special note from Jim McLennan (McLennan Fly Fishing)

"After many years, I'm pleased to again be involved with a fly-fishing television show.

Fly Fusion Television begins airing Tuesday evening. I co-host the series with Fly Fusion Magazine's founding editor and Stream Lines author, Derek Bird. This Tuesday (April 7) Derek and I introduce the first of six episodes of authentic fly-fishing at 6:30 Mountain Standard Time. FFTV is broadcast on the World Fishing Network, and if you don't already have access to this network, contact your provider. April is also free preview month on WFN.

At the conclusion of the show everyone's invited to submit questions and comments for Derek and me via the Fly Fusion Facebook page."

"Ode to the Bow" by Jim McLennan, McLennan Fly Fishing

Maclean's Magazine, Special Edition - The Great Alberta Flood - June 2013

'As a fly fisher with an enduring love for the Bow River - provider of trout and maker of memories - Jim McLennan is also optimistic it will recover from its most recent trauma, and return to its great and gentle self.'

Read Jim's article 'Ode to the Bow' in this special issue mag. We picked up our copy at our local Safeway magazine rack.

The Red Ant

All Photos: Bow River Shuttles

Jim McLennan was the guest speaker at the Calgary Hook & Hackle Club in May.

Lynda McLennan (centre) w/H & H Club members

He spoke about “Favourite Alberta Hatches”. He began with the bugs that show up early in the spring, and moved through the fishing season, and the bug cycles, to the fall.

In this brief video clip, he talks about the red ant.
