Western Canadian Music Awards - Sept 28-30, 2012

Longview’s Jim McLennan has been nominated for Instrumental Recording of the Year with the album, “Six-String Gumbo.” 

Winners will be announced at the Western Canadian Music Awards Gala on Sunday, September 30, 2012 in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Frog Fest:: Dance with the amphibians (June 29-July 01)

Frog Fest got its start in 2005 at a community hall in Ogden. But like all frogs, it has seen some dramatic transformations in its life cycle. The three-day fest is now held under the stars and this year features Cowpuncher, LaserCake and No River.

Hungry Ghost - Fly Fishing Music

Fly Fishing Music: We get to listen to whatever radio station is left on by our shuttle clients when we move their vehicles.

Not surprisingly, there is quite a variety. We've found recently that X92.9 "Calgary's New Rock Alternative" has shown up quite a bit.

For fans of that music, here is Hungry Ghost, an EP released on May 22 by Secret Broadcast, an Alt/Rock band from Calgary, recently relocated to Toronto.
