The deck on the train track overpass, near Indus on the way to McKinnon Flats, is under repair until August 15. Traffic lights have been installed at both ends.  This train came by while we were waiting for our green light during one of shuttle runs a week ago.

Damper on Canada Day Celebrations

It was a decent day until late aft. across most of Alta., with temps. peaking in the high 20’s across the n.

Unfortunately, tomorrow looks iffy for our birthday festivities.

Showers will develop in the A.M., and continue on and off until the eve. There could even be a t-shower around mid-day. So, best to pack a slicker and galoshes if you’ll be outside celebrating our 145th birthday, or attending the Stampeders’ season opener.

It looks better later in the eve., so fireworks displays will probably be alright. Mon., we will return to dry and milder weather, which should persist through the week
