Wild roses at Carseland. Photo, Copyright Bow River Shuttles All Rights Reserved 2012 |
The few shuttle runs we managed to squeeze in last week gave us a chance to see all the flowers that had bloomed during our absence over the previous couple of weeks, due to high water. Especially noticeable were the wild roses, particularly around McKinnon Flats and Johnson's Island at Carseland.

Cloudier Friday, Mostly Sunny Long Weekend
Cloudier weather returns to the Calgary area Friday, along with a chance of showers. Showers will be widely scattered, and are most likely to occur in the late afternoon. By Friday evening, they're gone, and the long weekend will get off to a sunny start.
Saturday will be sunny and warm. A weak cold front could give us more showers Sunday, especially in the late afternoon and evening, which will coincide with the Stamps game at McMahon Stadium. Later Sunday night, the sky will clear, and we'll be left with a sunny holiday Monday.
