Drift boat accident on the Bow

This photo is NOT the drift boat accident referred to in this post. The photo is courtesy RO Drift Boats regarding an accident on the Yellowstone River in September 2013.

Drift boat accident on the Bow

Exercise extreme caution at Policeman's Flats

On Thursday evening, an aluminum drift boat capsized after hitting a rock while attempting to exit the river at Police.

The boat occupants escaped unharmed.

The boat was swept downstream, along with all its contents, including rods, nets, etc. It has not been seen since.

If you come across any of these items along the river, please contact Kevin (403-466-8785). This is his wife's cell. His phone is wet.

We've noted before that getting off the river at Police since the 2013 flood can be quite challenging.

Earlier this spring, in May, we posted a video of someone who made it look easy. It's obvious that he had some very good rowing skills.

It's also important to note that the flow rate at that time was in the 70 cms range. The Bow is now running at 190 cms.
