Multi-Olympian Clara Hughes biked into her old stomping grounds Friday afternoon at Canada Olympic Park as part of a cross-country mission to raise awareness about mental health.

“It’s amazing to be here, back to Calgary where I got to live the dream for 10 years,” Hughes told a crowd of 150.

The athlete has a month left in her 12,000-kilometre cycle trip across Canada called Clara’s Big Ride. Sponsored by Bell’s Let’s Talk campaign, Hughes aims to fight the stigma of mental illness.
