There’s a mighty wave coming in Alberta, but this time it’s political, not hydrological.
The backlash against rebuilding on floodplains is rising even before the government figures out how to do the job.
This springs not from lack of concern for flood victims (although some people are shockingly spiteful) but out of real worry over the potential spending.
Even flooded-out Calgarians share the concern.
