Today along the Bow River - July 2012

Streamflow conditions in the province are generally normal to above normal at this time of year.

Changes over the past 24 hours, unless otherwise indicated.

The Bow River at Banff has decreased 15 cms over the past 24 hours, and is at 144 cms.

The Bow River at Calgary has increased 16 cms over the past 24 hours, and is at 280 cms.

Bow River at Banff: 144 cms (down from 159 cms)
Bow River at Cochrane: 290 cms (unchanged from 290 cms)

Bow River at Calgary: 280 cms (up from 264 cms)
Bow River below Carseland Dam: 276 cms (down from 286 cms)

Warming Trend

By the end of this week, temperatures in Calgary will climb to the mid twenties. A week that started out very unsettled, will become stable, sunny, and warm as it draws to an end. Temperatures will remain cooler than average under partial cloud cover Tuesday. By Friday and Saturday we'll be somewhat warmer than average under bright sunshine.
