Anglers across the province are searching for fishable moving water or continuing to focus on stillwater pursuits. We know some of you are venturing a bit away from home (B.C., Montana, Saskatchewan,….) for your fishing fix as well. Rest assured that there is reason for hope close to home as the month comes to a close.
A quick look at historical river flows shows the Bow is running lower this year on June 29 than it has on this date since 2011. (Thanks to Tom Cutmore and Must Be Nice Drift Company for keeping those historical flow records for easy reference.) This makes us very hopeful for significant improvement to conditions over the next week. That said, we’ve had a boat (or two) on the Bow for the past several days and folks are catching fish.
