Pundits say unseating mayor will be tough job

With zero precincts reporting and polls about to close in 11 months, election watchers appear ready to declare Naheed Nenshi the winner of the 2013 mayoral election.
His announcement that he will run for a second term had the quick effect of punting Ald. Andre Chabot as a possible challenger, since he has determined that Nenshi can't be beat.
Barring any steep reversal of fortune before next October's vote, who would be able to topple a mayor who has netted approval ratings in the 80 per cent range, in a city that rarely turfs incumbent mayors?
"Maybe Jarome Iginla," Chabot mused, but noted the NHL lockout may have soured Calgarians on the hockey star.
Nenshi is a rookie politician who takes a firm approach to not electioneering from his government seat, and on Wednesday spoke out against those who run "never-ending" campaigns.
