Logging in West Bragg Creek - Town Hall Meeting Wed April 18

"A town hall meeting is taking place Wednesday at the Bragg Creek Centre to discuss a proposed logging plan in West Bragg Creek. Peter Tucker, with Sustain Kananaskis, says a number of speakers, with expertise on biodiversity and environment, will be there to educate people about the impacts of logging in such an area. Tucker says the logging company as well as provincial representatives were invited to attend, but declined. The meeting takes place at 7:30pm at the Bragg Creek Community Centre." - AM 770 Radio

Toward a Public Consultation - Town Hall Meeting April 18th 7:30-9:30pm Bragg Creek Community Centre, White Ave.

The negotiations between Land Users in West Bragg Creek have failed to reach agreement. SRD must now arbitrate the conflicts towards a solution.

The April 18th town hall meeting brings the public to the discussion:
* Hear from experts on the watershed, wildfire mitigation, environment and economic impacts of the proposed plans and
* join the discussion looking towards clear solution based guidance for SRD.

SRD have been invited to attend this meeting, we hope they can.
