The Bow River in Calgary increased 30 cms over the past 24 hours.
A High Streamflow Advisory remains in effect for the Bow River upstream of and including the Town of Canmore
The tributaries increased marginally.
Bow River at Calgary: 282 cms
Elbow River below Glenmore dam: 41 cms
Fish Creek: 4 cms
Highwood River near the mouth: 74 cms
Total Bow River flow below Highwood: 401 cms
Gradual Warming. Becoming Sunnier. Sometime.
As the sky clears out Tuesday night, we can look forward to somewhat drier and sunnier conditions Wednesday. Nonetheless, there is still a good chance of showers in the afternoon for one more day. Thursday and Friday will be drier, and temperatures will rise to the 20s. If someone asked "How's the weekend looking?", I'd have to answer honestly - I don't know. Current forecast models are indicating rain or showers both Saturday and Sunday. However, if the upper ridge and omega block that lead to our sunshine Thursday and Friday remain strong, the warm sunny weather could very well continue into the weekend.

The Bow River in Calgary has dropped another 50 cms over the past 24 hours.
The High Streamflow Advisory for the Bow River downstream of and including the City of Calgary has been ended.
Bow River at Calgary: 264 cms
Elbow River below Glenmore dam: 50 cms
Fish Creek: 4 cms
Highwood River near the mouth: 89 cms
Total Bow River flow below Highwood: 407 cms
Unsettled until the Weekend
Thursday could be similar to Wednesday in that we'll have morning sun, followed by afternoon cloud, showers, and thundershowers. Thursday's showers and storms won't be as intense as those we had Wednesday afternoon. Showers will continue Friday morning. Friday afternoon, the rain will taper off, and the clouds will break up in the evening, and it should be dry for the Stampeder game. Saturday will bring a return to dry, sunny weather, but it won't last long.

Another Sunny, Warm Day
If anything, Tuesday will be even sunnier than Monday, with similar temperatures. With one more day of sun in Alberta, rain moves in to British Columbia, crossing the Rockies by Wednesday. That brings an end to our sunny, warm weather, and marks the return of rain from Wednesday through Friday.

Drier, calmer, milder
The rain ended this morning, but the wind continued to gust to around 65 km/h into the aft. The wind, and any remaining showers, will die out tonight. We'll see partial clearing tomorrow, along with milder temps., which should prevail into Tue. Expect more cloud, t-showers, and cooler temps. Wed., but the rest of the week looks typically Jun. - some of this, some of that, and temps. near seasonal.

| What is normally a small back-eddy, near the top of a Bow River side channel, was today a mid-sized flooded marsh. It was teeming with bird life and waterfowl, including this family of ducks. They were the only ones venturing out on the water today, and were staying well away from the main current, which was high, fast and very brown. June monsoon!
Banff reported wet snow this morning, while Ft. McMurray basked in 25 degree sunshine this aft. - go figure! A number of Env. Can. tornado watches for cold core funnel clouds remain in effect for Cent. Alta., and the heavy rainfall warnings also remain for the mountains and foothills w. and n..w of Calgary. We will see rain and a blustery wind developing this eve. and continuing for much of Sun. Despite the rocky end to the weekend, the start of next week looks better - drier, calmer, and milder. However, things look to deteriorate again for the latter half of next week
