YYC Taste the Trucks - August 11

Calgarians will have the chance to celebrate food ... from a truck.

The City of Calgary, Tourism Calgary, the Downtown Calgary Association and YYC Food Trucks have teamed up to bring the city “YYC Taste the Trucks,” an Aug. 11 festival that will highlight both the food and the trucks.

“The goal from the beginning has been to add to the cultural fabric of our city, while utilizing the trucks to build community,” said James Boettcher of YYC Food Trucks in a release.

The food truck festival will start at 11 a.m. and go until 3 p.m. on Stephen Avenue in the Convention Centre Block.

There are currently eight trucks participating, including Perogy Boyz, Fries & Dolls and Jojo’s BBQ.

Admission to the event is free, and it is open to people of all ages.

Guests can RSVP their attendance on Facebook. Search “YYC Taste The Trucks”.
