We've moved into a bit of a cooling trend. However, no one can complain about temps in the low to mid-teens.

Fall colours are still showing up along the Bow, including the Johnson's Island area in this photo today.

With McKinnon Flats re-opening today, we've got all of our boat launch options available again.

The boat launch at 22X/Fish Creek Park re-opened Friday Sept 19, 2014.

McKinnon Flats Access Road re-opened Friday Sept 26, 2014.

Today along the Bow River - August 2014

Truck and drift boat trailer being shuttled down to the boat launch.

Although today's high was 7°C below the long term average for this date, fly fishers were out drifting all the Bow River reaches between Glenmore and Carseland/Johnson's Island.

Rocky View County ran a grader down the McKinnon road first thing this morning. So that road was in good shape, despite the recent rain.

Just a reminder that the boat launch at 22X/Fish Creek Park is still closed for repairs.

It was a pleasantly dry day across Alta. with temps. in the S.E. once again reaching the mid-teens. Young Easter egg hunters will have the weather on their side, with plenty of sunshine, but a bit of a brisk wind Sun. morning. Today along the Bow River - August 2013

The owner of this blue Envoy being shuttled this morning had a very good day on the river, bringing more than 20 trout to the boat. He called this evening to book another trip for tomorrow!
