Trout Unlimited Canada - Bow River Chapter writes: 

"Come join the Bow River Chapter of Trout Unlimited Canada for our Riparian Restoration Project within Fish Creek Provincial Park.

We will be planting willow stakes within Fish Creek Provincial Park near Bridge9 on both Saturday, April 23 and Sunday, April 24 from 9AM to 4PM. Following the flood event of 2013 Bridge9 was destroyed and has just been replaced this spring."

CREEKFEST 2015 (Calgary) - July 19

This free one-day celebration of water in Fish Creek Provincial Park is an important component to the Friends’ Watershed Public Awareness Campaign, designed to inform and inspire community members to take actions to protect and preserve our water. Creekfest is now on Alberta Parks Day! Creekfest provides a great opportunity to learn about water conservation and protection in Fish Creek Provincial Park. 

Juno-Award winning Peter Puffin’s Whale Tales will be returning to Creekfest for the 5th year!

We are pleased to welcome back award-winning theatre troupe Parks Canada’s Mountain WIT, and Coyote Kids Theatre, who will perform The Muskrat’s Tail, a fun and innovative look into the world of water loving mammals.

July 24: The Wonders of Wetlands

Wetlands provide habitat, clean water, and stability in our ecosystems. From the insects and amphibians that make their homes in ponds and sloughs to the plants that grow along the edges of fens and marshes, every aspect of a wetland has an important job to do in providing wildlife, plants, and people with clean and plentiful fresh water.

Join Environmental Education Coordinators Alison Cole and Lauren Zabel on a tour of Fish Creek’s wetland network and get up close and personal with the life that thrives within.
