Hi everyone,

It's almost "CONNECT" time!

I encourage you to come early on Friday evening, Jan 13, 2012. (Doors Open at 6:00 PM at Cardel Theatre. Show time 7:00 pm).

This will give you the opportunity for best seat selection, as well as lots of time to visit the display tables of some of our friends who will be joining us for this special event.

Online ticket purchase ($10) will close tomorrow (Thursday Jan 12, 2012) at midnight on or earlier if tickets are sold out.

After that, tickets will be available ONLY at the door ($15).

Our "CONNECT" beneficiary!

Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing Canada (PHWFFC or Project Healing Waters Canada), serves military personnel who have been wounded, injured or disabled, to aid their physical and emotional recovery by introducing or rebuilding the skills of fly fishing and fly tying and by using and enjoying these skills on fishing outings and as lifelong recreation.

A fly fishing club with special emphasis on fly tying; encouraging Catch & Release, good sport fishing ethics, stream etiquette, and the preservation of the fishery for future generations.

Calgary Women Fly Fishers is a Not-for-Profit club, and as such we wish to achieve the following:

• promote fly-fishing to women of any age in Calgary, Alberta and surrounding areas.

Casting for Life was created to provide physical, spiritual and emotional support to breast cancer survivors.

It's an opportunity to learn the sport of fly fishing and the art of fly tying in the beautiful and enriching environment of a three day retreat. By introducing them to this life-affirming activity, as well as providing a luxurious weekend of relaxation and renewal our desire is to provide them emotional and spiritual encouragement at a time in their lives when hope for the future is needed.






THE BOW RIVER CHAPTER has more than 1500 members and volunteers, and actively pursues the Trout Unlimited Canada mission "to preserve and protect Canada's freshwater ecosystems" on the legendary Bow River.

Register yourself or a friend in Jim's workshop which will be presented at the
Western Canadian Fly Fishing Exposition. Jan. 27 - 29, 2012
Spruce Meadows, Alberta south of Calgary, Alberta

Trout Streamology - Sat. 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.

This presentation will show how a stream changes through the seasons and how these changes affect the trouts behavior. Will also address the topic of hatches, what trout require of a stream, the importance of water temperature and ultimately how understanding the workings of trout stream can help fly fishers take more enjoyment from their fishing.
Cost is $60.00
