So wrote Chris Cobb in a review of the band earlier this month in the Ottawa Citizen.
Was he on the money, or what!
We first became aware of this Saskatoon, Saskatchewan band back in April.
They had been chosen by Rolling Stone magazine as one of 16 bands vying to be the first unsigned group to be featured on their cover.
They were the only Canadian band in the running, and we wondered if they had any chance at all of success.
But we thought - "This is a kick-ass band – solid rock and roll - reminiscent of one of our faves from the late 60s - CCR!"
Well, successful they were!! Their win was announced yesterday, and they will indeed be on the cover of the Rolling Stone magazine, on newsstands later this week.
