Today along the Bow River - April 2013

Spring was oh so close in Calgary today. But, as they say, close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

The brief appearance of one of our famous chinooks took the temp up to +10 °C (although that didn't happen until around 6:00 pm). Overcast, with a bit of light rain around 3:00 pm, Wind avg 14, max 43.

However, that was good enough to bring out several Bow River drifters, as well as a number of walk & wade fly fishers.

During one of our shuttle runs, we spotted the fellow in the photo land a nice trout - a rainbow, we think.
