Today along the Bow River - August 2012

Streamflow conditions in the province are generally normal to above normal at this time of year.

Changes over the past 24 hours, unless otherwise indicated.

Bow River at Banff: 49 cms (increased from 44 cms)
Bow River at Calgary: 108 cms (decreased from 118 cms)
Bow River below Carseland Dam: 118 cms (increased from 105 cms)

- On Thursday July 27, the Bow River at Calgary decreased 60 cms, from 273 cms down to 213 cms.)

- On Friday August 03, the flow rate of the Bow River at Calgary came down to below 200 cms for the first time since early June!

- On Wednesday Aug 15, the flow rate of the Bow River at Calgary came down to below 150 cms for the first time since early June!

- On Monday Aug 20, the flow rate of the Bow River at Calgary came down to around 105 cms for the first time since early June!

Sunny, Comfortable

We are headed into a period of consistent weather. Dry, too. No major systems appear headed our way over the next few days, so we can expect sunshine with temperatures peaking in the low twenties right through the Labour Day weekend.
