We've been off the grid for a few days.  We're back now.

Photo: Policeman Creek, a tributary of the Bow River, joins the Bow just south of the town of Canmore, Alberta.  The snowstorm earlier this week turned Southern Alberta back into a winter wonderland. 
 
According to Policeman Creek Fisheries Investigations, 2010, by Trout Unlimited Canada, you can find both Brown Trout and Brook Trout in Policeman Creek.

After experiencing an unexpected dump of snow over the past 36 hours, the sunshine was back along the Bow River today, with a high of -11 °C .

Thanks to some warm westerly winds, we went from a low of -24.0 °C  to a high of around +1.0 °C in just over 36 hours!  

A wee bit cooler over the weekend, and then up to +4.0 °C for New Years Day.  Let's hope the forecast is accurate!
