Say sayonara to our spectacular summer (Calgary) - Sept 08, 2012

Say sayonara to our spectacular summer with a free family event

Calgarians are invited to ‘bid adieu’ to this spectacular summer by enjoying an evening of music, art and nature appreciation hosted by City of Calgary Parks.

This free family event includes pond-study and nature walks, children’s art activities and games, and an outdoor concert by celebrated Calgary singer Sora. The celebration begins at 5:30 p.m., Saturday, September 8, with Sora's taking the stage at 7 p.m.

Sora’s feature performance promises ethereal Celtic tinged folk music accompanied by stirring backing musicians and an on-stage artist/painter. Calgarians are encouraged to come early and bring a picnic supper to enjoy at our waterside day-use area.

For more information on this event or Ralph Klein Park (12350 84 Street S.E.), please visit calgary.ca/rkp or call 3-1-1.
