Workshop - South SK Regional Plan Public Input - Dec 11, 2012

From Alberta Wilderness Association:

Tomorrow evening we have a hands-on workshop that you really won’t want to miss.  Brad Stelfox of ALCES and Katie Rasmussen, AWA Conservation Specialist, will give brief presentations about the South Saskatchewan Region and the planning process that is ongoing.  They’ll answer questions and then with the help of all the AWA staff, we will have opportunities for you to provide your thoughts to the planning process provided by the government‘s land use framework.

Workshop - South SK Regional Plan Public Input
December 11, 2012

The South Saskatchewan Regional Plan that will shape the future of southern Alberta is open for public consultation until Dec. 21. We know that it is a busy time of year and that giving feedback on this process takes time, especially because it can be difficult to sort through all the material and information. That is why AWA is having a Public Workshop! This will be a quick, informative, hands-on session where you can send your feedback to the government right here that night or you can walk away with the skills and information you feel you need to give your input at a later time.

Please join us for this engaging workshop where you can talk one on one with AWA staff, Dr. Brad Stelfox from ALCES , and guests, and get the tools you need to give your feedback into this very important planning process for Alberta’s future. The evening will start at 7:00pm with a short informative presentation and the rest of the evening will be dedicated to the interactive workshop.

In a relaxed, informal setting, AWA staff, Dr. Brad Stelfox from ALCES and other guests will be here to provide you with information about the SSRP and answer any questions you may have about the plan, the process, and how to give your feedback. The evening will be an engaging mix of information sharing and actually working through different ways of giving input.  Strategies such as writing letters, filling out the government workbook, and making a phone call to your government representative will be covered in the workshop (as well as any other means of engagement that you are interested in talking about) or you can just come to observe.
Please join us!
