Today along the Bow River - July 2014

Two thumbs up for pinky and perky! Ready for an afternoon float.

After bumping back up to over 200 cms for about three days, the Bow is now back down to 183 cms.

Although the flow rate is on the high side of the long term average, the river is in excellent condition and fishing very well.

One of our shuttle clients, Brian J., floated Police to Mac today. He said that this was one of those spectacular days that he waits for, that shows up only once every four or five years. Despite the bright sunny day, his party landed several dozen fish, almost all on dry flies.

Another shuttle client, Ryan L., was able to float his favorite reach today, Mac to Carsland, now that that boat launch has re-opened at the bottom end of the 'Blue Ribbon Bow'. His very good day was mostly on streamers, and he's going back early tomorrow morning to do it all over again. Same float!
