More Western Canada @ Canadian Folk Music Awards

We recently reported on a couple of Western Canadian groups – The Deep Dark Woods and The Fretless - who picked up awards at the Canadian Folk Music Awards. 

Three others from our general neck of the woods were also honoured. 

Lucas Chaisson, of Cochrane, AB, nabbed Young Performer of the Year, for ‘Growing Pains'

Pharis & Jason Romero, of Horsefly, BC, New/Emerging Artist of the Year, for ‘A Passing Glimpse’.

 

And Metis Fiddler Quartet, of Winnipeg, MB and now working out of Toronto, took home Traditional Album of the Year, for ‘Northwest Voyage Nord Ouest
