
Felt soled wading boots and waders have been banned in a number of jurisdictions. New Zealand banned them in 2008.
According to Bio Security New Zealand, “It is an offence to knowingly spread an unwanted organism with penalties of up to 5 years imprisonment, and/or a fine of up to $100,000.”
