Cell Service along the Bow River

Cell service along the lower Bow River downstream from Calgary is still hit and miss in a number of locations.

The area south of Highway 22X to McKinnon Flats is particularly sketchy.

However, that may be about to change.

At the beginning of August, work commenced on the construction of a cell tower a couple of kilometers south of 22X on Range Road 274.

The workers in the two close-up photos can be seen near the top of the tower in the two other photos.

Work is not yet complete. There was a lot of activity going on at the base of the tower when we drove by today.
